Olympique Khouribga player Ismail Kouchame got sent off in a rather strange fashion. After getting into an argument with team-mate Mohamed El-Askriat the end of the first half, Kouchame started raising his hands toEl-Askri’s face. The pair traded slaps to each other’s faces, before Kouchame raised the bar by whacking El-Askri in the eye.
Players from the Spanish Liga BBVA played Africa United yesterday night for UNICEF. Ramos entertained the crowd by asking Mourinho, who was coach of Africa United, if he could take a penalty. The Spanish player referred to a contoversy a few weeks ago when he demanded to take a penalty against Atletic Bilbao, instead of Cristiano Ronaldo who normally takes the penalty kick. Although this outraged Mourinho at the time, he could laugh at it now and even advised Ramos which corner to aim for. However, Ramos ignored this and scored the penalty Panenka-style. Africa United went on to win the friendly game 3-2.

After only eight minutes played in the second half of the final of the Suzuki Cup between Malaysia and Indonesia, the Indonesian players decided to leave the pitch. They complained about Malaysian fans pointing laser beams in their faces. Not a very smart move because Malaysia scored three times in the 12 minutes after the match resumed. Although there is a second leg to be played in Indonesia, they assured an offical complaint will be made.
