Xavi Celebrates 549th Game For Barca

The home game played by Barcelona against Levante (2-1) was dedicated to Xavi. The gifted midfielder played his 549th game in the Catalan shirt and thereby reached the same amount as Migueli. Xavi played his first game in 1998, under the reign of Louis Van Gaal. ‘I am very happy,’ he stated afterwards. ‘Not just because of the record, but because it will always be an honour to play in the Barca jersey. I hope to win many prizes this season.’ Xavi already won 2 Champions Leagues and five national league championships.

Milan in Dubai

Milan have landed in Dubai and started training. Taking the field among the rossoneri is Antonio Cassano, who is expected to finish his deal with Milan in the coming days. He has been allowed by Sampdoria to join his future teammates in Dubai.
